Solar Panels
Solar ThermalSolar thermal panels can be erected on the roof, in the garden, or on walls, ideally south facing, though they will still work if not on a south facing surface. A controller compares the temperature of these to the temperature of the water at the bottom the storage cylinder and when it is hotter the circuit is switched on and the water is heated using the energy from the solar panel. |

Anderson Floor Warming And Renewables have achieved MCS Approved Installer status through CLE for Solar Thermal Panel installations, giving greater consumer protection, and allowing our installations to be eligible for funding from grants or the upcoming RHI.
Renewable Heat Incentive
After numerous delays this is due to be introduced October 2012 for households, the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) proposes to pay a set amount each year to those who replace their current existing fossil fuel heating system with a renewable technology, like a heat pump. These payments are based on an estimated figure depending on the size and age of the property and the technology used. Renewable Heat Premium Payment
Before the RHI is introduced the Renewable Heat Premium Payment is to run from 1st August 2011 to 31st March 2012. This is an interim payment until the full RHI domestic scheme starts in 2012. The Single Premium Payment is available for installations from 21st July 2011. The payment available is as follows.

Solar Photovoltaics
As with solar thermal, photovoltaic panels can be erected on a roof, garden or walls. Solar PV generates electricity from daylight. It can be used on cloudy days as well as sunny days and provides cheap electricity.
