When one of Scotland's leading mechanical contractors Balfour Kilpatrick refurbished their head quarter's office entrance and reception in Renfrew they wanted freedom of wall space and appreciated that the double height space would be best heated from the floor. The high heat loss of older buildings often rules out the use of underfloor heating especially in timber joist floors, as the output of most systems is very limited. Anderson Floor Warming pipe in high performance black plate systems, suitable for use in timber joist or battened floors, were ideal for use in this building.
