Kingsbarns Golf Links was opened in 1999 to such acclaim that some experts think it may well be on the Open roster within ten years. The stylish new clubhouse was fully heated with underfloor heating on both levels. On the ground floor underfloor suits the locker rooms well as wall space is left free for lockers and wet floors dry quickly. On the first floor, underfloor is particularly suitable for the large open plan restaurant and shop areas, which have high levels of glazing overlooking the golf course.
